Alayna.jpgby pibbyComment by dtremain: What a cutie pie! You're working with a challenging shot here - the bright light from outside, and the comparative darkness of inside. I'd second the reflector idea. You can also paint the bottom of a pizza box chrome or silver and use that... Alayna's face is half in shadow, and she is the most interesting thing in your photo. The wooden spoon also gets lost - use your props creatively to get an even better shot. |

First Steps.jpgby pibbyComment by violinist123: Well looks like you have a willing (or at least captive) model, so you've got plenty of opportunity to go for a super baby shot. Some things that would help here are trying to follow one of the guidelines of composition (rule of thirds perhaps? there are plenty), making sure your focus is on your subject and paying attention to the easily overlooked details before tripping the shutter - here that would be making sure no body parts are out of frame (the foot). |

First Steps.jpgby pibbyComment by electrolost: I have a 10 month old son myself so I am biased ..cute kid. It appears that the camera was focused on the carpetand not on the kid. kinda looks like the kid is boxing picture. children are such a awesome experience... |

Bentleyby pibbyComment by idp: Nice shot - I probably agree about the sharpening but I like the lighting and the way the whiskers stand out. |

Bentleyby pibbyComment by pamelasue: what pretty green eyes ... the whiskers and face fur seem to be slightly over sharpened to me ... |
