Crosswalkby ryandComment by jdannels: I like the shot as is but I think for FS entries to score well you need to get everything spot on and have something of interest that appeals to the most people. I really liked this shot because it looked like it was almost a negative image taken during the day and converted to black and white. If I did anything to it I would have cropped off the bottom like this. Don't worry about the score, they will come, besides it looks like you followed this up with a PB. :) |

DSC_2877by ryandComment by zeuszen: Simple enough not to distract any interest, representational enough for a sense of locale with good depth, textures -albeit fluid ones- and energy, abstract enough to enchant the agnostic.
A photograph with a decent (apparent) dynamic and inherent tensions (as a component of energy) between various elements of the image, good tonal range in a balanced composition.
Given the relative ambiguity of the image, I'd consider a title for it or, at least, for the series. A good title, IMO, would be one which did not remove the mystery but provide a context. |

DSC_2877by ryandComment by xianart: a very nice, deeply abstract, yet completely representational, set of images. well done indeed. |

Downtown Nashvilleby ryandComment by jdannels: I kind of do the opposite of mr. Zigzag. When I shoot night shots I shoot almost wide open with a low ISO setting. and let it go for 30 seconds. I set the focus on some distant light and then put the camera on manual focus and leave it. Something like this tutorial. If I can't get it to focus I just manually set the focus to just past infinity then just shoot away. I like this shot because you have too look for abit to see the reflections, but once you notice them they are really obvious. :) |

Railedby ryandComment by jdannels: I think tilting alot or straightening out would have been best. looks like a good place for a long exposure shot especially right by the water. Maybe shooting next to the rail would have brought the viewers eye into the lake. I like the bw and conversion. :) |

Decomposingby ryandComment by Yo_Spiff: Nicely done and well composed. The sepia was a good choice. it's amazing how much detail can be fit into 640 pixels sometimes. |
