London Transportby claylikethemudComment by Paul: OK, I'm going through the Free Study submissions, purposefully finding those images I think are shot with a less conventional eye - this is one of those images! Thanks for offering something that isn't just DPC friendly eye-candy (though of course there's nothing wrong with eye-candy). I'll be picking one of these images for the Mu (most underrated) award:
Positives: Nice motion blur image, there are lots of elements to look at and they are all so different, the couple of runners, the bus itself (and its route information), the passengers and (most of all for me), the poster on the side. This is one of those images that reminds us that there is always so much to look at around us if only we were to lift our gaze.
Critical stuff: Perhaps a tighter crop top to bottom, allowing the bus to fill the height of the frame.
Overall: The ordinary made interesting. Good job. |

London Transportby claylikethemudComment by Ja-9: great shot of the bus, super clear focus on the people...just in a FS this isn't going to compete with the landscapes....etc...sorry |

High-altitude Landscapeby claylikethemudComment by DCNUTTER: I love aerial shots, but I feel this photo is hurting a little due to under exposure. Using an exposure mask on the land would have allowed you to increase the light and detail just a bit...enough to get more appreciation out of the foreground in contrast with the sun set. Good luck! |

England's Clockby claylikethemudComment by Car54: Definitely a country's spirit, but seems to lack something to make this image more interesting--probably the composition but not sure. |

England's Clockby claylikethemudComment by jotaga: Love the colors, sharpness and light! Great choice to depict London! Maybe a straight framing would be better to show the british formality, but the tilted option is nice too! |
