Nothing seems to be in focus here, maybe intentionally, but I find it annoying. If this picture is the best you had of that moment, you might have tried the effect of the 'unsharpen' filter in PS.

Greetings from the Critique Club :)

Hi Kenbo...

Nice work with the still life :) Your angle meets the 'from above' theme nicely. I also think you did an excellent job with the lighting on this photo. The lighting is very smooth and even... There are no hot spots and there is no detail lost in the darkness.

The photo composition is ok. There's nothing really wrong with it, but it seems to lack a strong and obvious focal point or point of specific interrest for my eye to come to rest on. My eye keeps wondering around the photo...

Why did this score so low? Hmmm... I'm not sure about that but I have a few theories that may or may not apply... First of all, the theme of the challenge was 'from above'. You met the challenge, but, I believe that you may have lost some points because the 'from above' angle and perspective of this photograph doesn't seem to be creating the impact in this photo. The angle of view is not what makes this a good photo. When it comes down to meeting the challenge, you have done so technically.

I think the photo is a bit underrated myself. Keep up the good work :)

Very nicely done! In my opinion, the shot might benefit a bit if there were another angle that would eliminate the busy background.

Good model. I think the focus needs to be better.
