Hi Kenbo...

The theme you are offering with your postcard photo is a strong one. I also think your composition is excellent. The stairway on the right leads the viewer right up to the shrine... I think the weather conditions and time of day were your enemy in this photo. I think this scene could be photographed on an overcast day to allow you to bring out the more subtle details and keep everything in the scene inside a good exposure range without having any areas too dark or too bright.

I like the colors and the lighting. I think the cropping/composition could have been a bit different. Maybe cut off at half the bowl and plate and an equal portion of the red?? Nice shot though. Some distracting stuff in the red area.

very interesting picture, i like the muddy look of the water. since the sky is hazy and doesn't add anything i might have cropped it out (unfortunately for this challenge hazy shots often work well in b&w).

Man, if you can focus on the reflection of the field with the trees (more zoom), it'd be much better IMHO.
