I like the composition and the use of DoF. If you could have blacked out everything but the hands & arms this would be fantastic.
Lighting and detail on the hands is good, and I do like the overall image.

I really like the soft focus on this. I think it creates a mood. The angle and framing/cropping are nice, and I think that the lighting is very good as well. I wish that somehow it were possible to get the bottom half blackened out as well. Although I'm not totally sure about that. With the brown area, it gives it quite a bit of depth, and if it were blackened, that depth might not be there, so I'd have to see it to compare. Otherwise, a very nice shot. Good luck in the challenge.

I liked this photo a lot. I have to say that the glare on the forehead is a bit too bright. And the area in the upper right corner was a little too bright to. That said, sometimes I do find it ok if everything surrounding the subject is too bright as long as the subject isn't. I think you almost got that minus the forehead. The composition is well done. The picture meet the challenge in my opinion. The focus was good, again I liked the photo and I gave it a 7.
