Vineyardby tinky2Comment by arlanbart: First of all, nice use of the rule of thirds. You avoided placing the horizon in the center of the image. The cloudy sky is a good choice to fill 2/3 of the image. The colors are very nice. The yellow and blue compliment each other nicely. Also it's good that you have a foreground (post), midground (field), and background (mountains) subject. Not bad.

Vineyardby tinky2Comment by cfischl: hahah fishing for compliments are we? This is very well done. I think it might have been even better however if you had waited around for some really interesting clouds to roll along. Who knows how long you would have been there though...... |

Skagerrak and Blueby tinky2Comment by puzzled: Wow, either Sweden or Denmark? Nice colors. The two major elements, boat and rock, sort of compete with each other for my attention, but maybe your intention is that they should balance each other. I think I prefer the boat on it's own, but that's just my taste. It's lovely and rusty and full of character. |

Skagerrak and Blueby tinky2Comment by sfalice: Hmmm, is there a rock in Iceland that looks like the one at Morro Bay in California?
:)
Seriously, nice image with good compositional contrast between the rough boat and smooth water. |
