One guy, two boats, incoming tideby tinky2Comment by puzzled: Well, I can't believe no one has commented on this one yet. The depth is stunning. The power of the landscape is visible in the guy's legs - looks like he's really stuggling. This is one of my favorites in your portfolio so far. |

Candlesby tinky2Comment by puzzled: Such beautiful lines! Love the golden soft focus at the bottom and the detail of the pollen (although I wonder how it would look with a touch of USM applied just to the pollen area?). You've got a great eye, Tinky. |

Underside Exposedby tinky2Comment by puzzled: Hmmmph. Everyone else has said what I'd like to already. This is such nice work, both in camera and after. In addition to all the stuff already mentioned about the light aspect, I really love the detail in the outer part of green base and the subtle pink tint in the petals. Very cool! I'm so glad I found your portfolio. There's lots of nice stuff here for me to get inspiration from - thanks! |

Quietly bloomingby tinky2Comment by SandyP: Dawn, this is beautiful!! It's so elegant! Composed and shot to perfection!!! Great strong score, but I would have thought this one would end up on the front page.

Quietly bloomingby tinky2Comment by LucidLotus: Very beautiful colors here. I like the vibrancy. I like the balance and the negative space. I wish the two petals at the bottom had been clipped off so it looked more like the flower was floating in unseen water (they may be reflections but if that's the case one looks missing. The lighting is pretty good, though I wonder if an adjustment would make the flower glow just a bit more against that black background. Also the focus is softer than I'd expect something with such crisp lines and clear contrasts to have. I gave a 6 |

Quietly bloomingby tinky2Comment by Loki: Beautiful! I would have moved it down just a little bit so it looked like it was climbing into the photograph. Rule of thirds. |

Quietly bloomingby tinky2Comment by talj: Nice light and choice of colours, I would like to have seen a little more negative space to one side of the flower (MHO) |
