It feels like there is smoke on top. I think this is because of HDR. I had the same problem but don't know why. Other than that I think you need stronger foreground.

Love to know when and where this was taken--I am thinking of heading into the adirondacks tomorrow. I didn't see much color though yet on webcams in the lake george region. But this shows some nice color--and it's got to be at least a week old. The lake looks great and serene. Two technical issues: you need a GND filter for this shot to better equalize the sky light so it's manageable. That really hurts an otherwise fine shot. Also, and it may be an illusion, but I get the feeling this is pitched to the left a bit.
