The cross almost blends in to the background. Could you have used a narrower depth of field to set it off by itself a bit more? Or perhaps a different angle -- is that the edge of a circular dark area I see up in the left? The cross against something like that would have been truly striking.

I like the idea and the tones here. The composition, other than the bit of circle on the left which couldn't be helped at that angle, is pleasing.

Nothing really sets the cross off from the background. It's all yellow. Maybe in b&w? Also, there's a lot of pattern in the background that draws the eye away from the cross.

This could have been a great capture, but the background is too busy. Shallow depth of field would have been nice here, helping out the composition greatly.

Too blurry, not sharp enough and reallly would have benefited from a strong bokeh (blurred background).

Also, I'd shift the composition over a centimeter or so to the right.

This was an interesting subject for pattern. My suggestion is that tighter focus is needed to isolate the pattern from the background for a really effective shot. When I look at this shot the pattern isn't the immediate focal point.

Good picture. Minor note: the stuff in the background is a little distracting,,, try taking shot from a different angle ΓΆ€“ or ΓΆ€“ use a larger aperture (e.g., blur the background). Good luck.
