I wish you saved this at 640 px and not at 585 so we could really judge this properly...it's a great image, very clear, but at this size it's hard to tell...in any case 8

Camera Work/Technical: The colors you captured are terrific, but I think the overall image could use a little more sharpness.

Lighting: You did a really nice job using lighting to create a very strong silhouette. I think you captured a really strong balance between the shadows and the colorful background.

Composition/Content: I think here is where your score fell. Echoing other voters that have commented, the background is too busy. I think if you'd have shifted a bit to the left and shot him without that tree in the background, this capture would have finished much stronger. I know, nature is very hard to script.

My Opinion: Nice job meeting the challenge. I do believe that this one came pretty close to its potential as is. With a different composition, the score would have surely grown.

This photo intrigues me; I like detail oriented visual images. Perhaps the contrast could be more extreme, as in the whites could be whiter, and the blacks could be darker. It's unfortunate that the limits of the rules prevent me from enjoying this image in a larger scale. Please identify this location in your notes.

I know the colors were the emphasis here, but I find the overwhelming variety of colors here distracting and, well...somehow the photo feels "dirty." I would LOVE to see the effect of isolating one of the colors and making the rest of the photo black and white (obviously not for the challenge, but for the art of it).
