Very nice image, has a wonderful effect overall. The one thing that might improve on this image is if it were a little brighter and lighter. The silhouetted shoreline just needs some break noticable between it and the actually reflection.

It does fit the magazine challenge well. Keep up the good work.

Hmmmm. I dont like how the hills are so dark we lose all detail. This sky would have worked nicely for a sillouette, but I dont like this composition for it.

The sky with the clouds is very nice it gives me a beginning/ end of the day feeling. However while the dark 'coastline' gives good contrast with the sky I think it is too dark (too underexposed). Perhaps a tip for you: when I try to capture (difficult) scenes like this I first focus my camera on the top of the trees/ beginning of the sky. After that I move my camera more upwards and capture the scene as I want. With Photoshop I then correct the colors to get a well exposed image.

The sky is nice, the dark landscape doesn't have a lot of impact. The reflection is lovely.

nice shot, but IMO a little bit too dark, forest is very hard to see at all. I like clouds, there some energy feeling when you look at it. = 7

Great shot.. being a magazine cover It was a pity this wasnt shot in portrait....

Great colors and reflection anyway, I would have given this a 10 if it was for an outdoors challenge

The trees/lake are a bit dark and hard to make out - I wish more of them could be seen - but the sky is nicely dramatic. (The shadowing of the trees would work better if there were some sunset/sunrise colors, I think, as it's more expected then. As it is, it looks like a bright day and yet the details are all hidden.)

Well... if it's for a photography magazine cover, you have just raised your own bar of excellence, ya know...! I'm afraid this honestly wouldn't cut it for a photography magazine. The shoreline is just way too dark to provide any detail. One thing I remember vividly from a photography class I took in college was that you want to be sure that "there's detail in the highlight areas, and there's detail in the dark areas." This is a good example of a shot that violates that rule. The trees have no real distinguishable features; they're too dark. At the same time, portions of the clouds are too blown out with too much light. This is a tricky scene to expose correctly -- keep at it :)
