great composition that really highlights the challenge, but a shot like this still depends on the model. yours is mostly blank with just a hint of expressiveness, which is precisely what is needed here... the Mona Lisa touch. if only she weren't so darn prettified! 8

Beautiful tonality and even more beautiful model. Excellent work, 7. I must say I liked better, although this image does a better job meeting the challenge.

"Mid Air-Climber in His Element" is a wonderful entry into the Environmental Portrait challenge. Wonderful score, very well deserved.

I would say you nailed the Environmental piece, unfortunately I think voters really get picky towards the portrait aspect. I still loved this piece. I think you did an excellent job capturing someone truly in their environment without poising.

I think your composition is cool because you took a different approach. I like the long stretched feel, as well as how dark it gets toward the bottom. The lighting seems just right, which probably wasn't so easy since you were outdoors. The boarders are interesting and I think they add to that stretched feeling to show the perspective of how small the climber is compared to his environment.

Overall this is a very strong image, it almost looks like one of the inspirational posters. Congrats on the new personal best score, it was very well deserved.

Nice choice of light sepia tones, you can see the detail in the rock but it does not take away attention from the climber. I'd like to know where this is.
