Cute, so cute..... I love the close-up of the dog, his has such an expressive face..... I am just a little bothered with the background, re the creases in the fabric, as it does distracts one from the cute puppy.....

My first impression of this is the interesting effect you've gone for with the almost pencil-like finish. As mentioned in one of the comments you received, it does in a way remind you of a Geiger drawing. The subject you have gone for is unique to say the least.

I think where this photo suffered the most was in the voters perceptions of the blown highlights. In a way it blends with the pencil effect so therefore in my opinion it doesn't distract too much from the overall image.

You've kept most of the important detail in the arm and hand which is most important and both the foreground of the cables and the background of the hand sit nicely in focus.

Overall this is a really good effort and very unique. Well done on your placing and best of luck in future challenges.

I like the concept with the color here; however, I would normally mark down for the halo along the rim and the distracting black holes in the image. I would like to see a bit more detail. It is interesting that the end of the canyon wall where it seems to be its darkest is a contrasting bright spot and again this keeps pulling away from the rest of such a beautiful image. I am curious though...did you use RSE? I like the original thinging with the border. I also like your original thinking with color choices. I love color and despite every...I'm giving it a 10!

Great photo. I like the tones in the sky a lot, seems surreal. Somehow the lighting on the cliffs looks strange though, maybe it's the saturation in parts of them.
