Love Chapter 13.4by GivemeashotComment by kat75: Love this! I've seen it done with a red filter and it's really cool. I did this with my wedding rings but wasnt sure if it was taboo to post something you were inspired by on here (I do scrapbooking and we consider it a great compliment to copy each other!) |

Behind Blue Eyes(crop)#1by GivemeashotComment by brizmama: I think this crop works better with this image. It is kind of creepy in a vampire-ish sort of way which doesn't suit you. LOL. I really like the concept though. |

Freak'n String Take Two #1by GivemeashotComment by cryan: Out of the retakes i like this one the best. I think a little, not much but a little more DOF would be good, just so the eye naturally follows the string. Overall I really like this idea. |

Behind Blue Eyes(crop)#2by GivemeashotComment by kyebosh: I would have liked to see the pupils dialated a little less, not all the way as you're trying to put the subject in a dark place, but these eyes almost all black and your title is about blue. I would also suggest doing something else with the blue jeans, I feel it takes away from the impact of the eyes being in color as they have more area to consume than the small eyes. They don't necessarily have to be taken down to black and white but perhaps a more subdued color, maybe just a little less saturated, or perhaps that part converted to a brown or whatever you felt looks good.
I saw the comment below me and I agree, the thumb by itself takes away from the photo, however I think a whole hand would be fine.
Now as for the emotion you're trying to bring out, I wasn't sure if it was sadness, or pain, or scorn (yeah i dunno why i see that but I do) or something else. The colors point me towards one of the first two but I think it's not perfectly clear. |

Behind "Blue Eyes"by GivemeashotComment by rex: Critique CLub
I think what hurt you more than the thumb being left in the shot was the fact that there is so much space left around you. I think a lot tighter of a crop would work a ton better. I relly like the blue being left in. The jeans really help this photro. The focus is on the eyes which is great. I also love the color you put there. Really is a nice image. |
