I like the picture in general; although, I think it doesn't go with the contest. The contest says "Backlighting is the idea of shining light at an object from behind, or lighting areas behind the object you want to highlight." While this definately does show a dominate source of light, it doesn't show anything that I know as a backlight.

Well I think the title could've done without the second clause, but this image is quite striking. Interesting subject, I love the apparently lack of an abdominal region. Nice crisp black background to bring out the highlighted edges.

Not woody again, but actuallyy it is very good back-light image so hope it does well in the challenge..... I like the finish on woody, as it looks like it has been sealed or varnished, which I think may improve the lighting.
