Image grain and JPEG compression are not the same thing. I hope this is a spoof, or an attempt at the brown, but in case it is a serious entry, here is my usual sermon on JPEG compression *sigh*:

I see a ton of blocky compression artifacts here. Your file size of only 6k indicates a highly (Severely. So severe, it is in pain) compressed image and that is what is robbing most of the detail and sharpness from this image. Check your compression settings when you save your file. Always adjust JPEG compression so that your file size is as large as possible, but within the challenge limit. (200k for this one)

If this is the spoof I think it is, you have my congratulations on a brilliant brown attempt. Much more creative than the more usual coal mine or polar bear in a snowstorm shot. The title fits it nicely as well.

5.76 kB?? I guess you are trying to get the brown ribbon with this. Therefore 10 points :)

I see you reached your intention.

there is a lot of stuff here. It all is given equal weight due to the extensive depth of field and even toning. I wish there was a main point of focus to rest my eyes on. It is sharp and I think the tones work well. 6

Lots to look at -- great chaos, if there is such a thing! The greenish processing is interesting, but it seems to work here.

i like the complexity of the shot and the multitude of people busy with their days - i am just not a big fan of the almost greenish tint to the sepia coloring

I kind of like the choice of duotone. It's different and interesting. Wish the crop excluded the sky though.
