Predatorby joycobbComment by Spitfyr: Would have given you a better score if you had used shallow DOF to make the bird the focal point and the cat out of focus in the background. As it is, your attention is drawn to the cat (technically not wildlife). |

Predatorby joycobbComment by scantin: While there is a wild bird in the shot, the main focus seems to be the domestic cat - challenge was supposed to showcase wildlife. |

Predatorby joycobbComment by Gracious: Accurate capture of a killer. This is why cats should NOT be allowed out. They are ruthless killers, and have played a major role in the demise of many song birds, and other native wildlife. This is a pity. I love cats...I have two, but this is senseless.
I may as well add more since I'm already upon my milk crate. It's a dangerous world out there for domestic cats. Fights with other cats, dogs, and wildlife, hit by cars, illnesses, and not to mention that they spread disease to wildlife. They've also been known to cause auto accidents due to people's attempts to avoid hitting them.
Well, I hope I haven't offended you or others. It's certainly not my goal, but I do aim to educate.
Hereis a video.
Here's an article.

Signs for Sinners?by joycobbComment by joycobb: I tried an angle, as this was suggested to me on a previous Challenge entry. It's funny how some liked the angle and some hated it. Thanks to all of you for your comments. |

Predatorby joycobbComment by espy2: This is a domesticated animal that caught a wild bird. The bird, had it stayed alive, would have been the better choice for your entry. This is a DNMC and my score reflects that. |

Predatorby joycobbComment by cresus: The subject of this picture (and title) is not a non-domesticated animal so doesn't meet the challenge criteria. |

Predatorby joycobbComment by melismatica: Poor birdie! My mom has a cat that even in her dodderage (she is 13) manages to bring down a squirrel or two and has even at one time killed a crow. This certainly counts as wildlife to me (albeit dead wildlife). I wonder how you're doing in the voting? Some people might nitpick that the bird isn't in a natural environment. I'm guessing there are some bird-loving, cat-haters who will vote this down based on an emotional response. I like it though (I'm a bird-loving, cat-lover). It is well done and rather powerful in an odd way. |

Predatorby joycobbComment by KarenNfld: The cat seems to be the main focus of your photo, cats are domesticated animals, not wild. |
