The shapes in this photo give it interest. The hard lines of the carpet edge and the fretboard play well against the curve of the guitar's body. I think there's too much dark space, leaving the image somewhat flat. Normally different textures add interest, but for me the texture in the carpet is distracting, as is the bottom line of the mirror, and the line in the carpet leading from the bottom of the guitar's reflection. Overall, the image is soft. Maybe sharper focus, a tighter composition, or concentration on some detail of the guitar and its reflection would have helped for me.

Of course the eye contact and hand wave make this picture. The light colors of the dresses contrast nicely with the rest of the picture. I'd wish for better sharpness a slightly less-tight crop, but can guess that this crop removes some distractions. Nice capture of a friendly moment.

Gorgeous shot! Not a whole lot of covered bridges around today, so this one brings me back to a trip I took to New Hampshire many moons ago. :) Love the blue in the sky as well. Nice contrasts all the way around.
