The texture being pervasive throughout the photo is a bit hard on my eyes but I think the distinction of the letters and stars is enough to compensate.

"Jade" literally haunted me around DPC - I saw it many times before I finally overcome my laziness and clicked that "Add to favourites" link. :) It looks like it grew on me somewhat: for some reason I see in the voting breakdown that I gave this image a 7 when voting. Probably because of the little compositional uncertainty (see below), but I don't remember for sure.

I like "Jade" very much: it is not completely abstract, but the emphasis is very clearly on the shapes, lines and subtle changes in the shades of the colour.

The only thing that I keep wondering about this shot - would it not be a better composition if you flipped it along the horizontal axis, so that the leaves would point along the rising diagonal, rather than going against the falling diagonal?
