I'm generally not crazy about extreme close-up portraits because there is no context, but there are exceptions and this one does a good job with what little context it has. For example the hair in one corner complements the lace in the opposite corner. And the shadows are terrific, they really "mold" the face into three dimensions. It also adds interest that she is looking away. So, not my favorite of yours but still a successful and appealling portrait.

Amazing portraiture! She's got a unique and puzzling expression. Sometimes I see a concealed smile, others a hint of sadness, others concern, and in others she seems misterious and unsearchable. Great lighting and perfect crop. Lovely!!!

I think when you really capture someone you see them in themselves...and that is something you have had a huge success with here...I can see her not only at the age she is at, but the younger woman is very present in her eyes...she is someone worth listening to...
