WATER BILLby dippydazComment by Hawkeye: Nice photo. Is that red-eye in the duck? We get different water bills here in Australia! |

WATER BILLby dippydazComment by alphonzo: Nice close-up. The title kind of draws the viewers attention to the duck's bill, which unfortunatly is out of focus. |

CATKINSby dippydazComment by BeeCee: I like the composition, crisp spring colours. Bit of noise in background, but nothing that shouldn't clean up. Not terribly abstract, though. |

WATER BILLby dippydazComment by mosall: I like this photograph. I rated this image lower then another shot that is similar due in large part to an exposure issue I see with the water coming from the mouth (hot spots). Still an above average shot. Good job. |

HARD ROCK, SOFT WATERby dippydazComment by loseme: *Critique Club*
"HARD ROCK, SOFT WATER" does meet the qualification of the 2 second challenge. I think you had a great idea in trying to capture a close up of the water and its movement.
Looking at the image, it seems over exposed. The colors are a little too bright, especially on the leaves the almost look unreal. The timing of the water was nice. I think the shot is framed very well. You left the leaves in the shot, which allows you to stand out from the rest of the water/waterfall entries. Also the focus seems a little off, possibly the camera was not on a sturdy tripos while you had the 2 seconds going.
Unfortunately I really think the exposer hurt this piece. But I was looking at your portfolio and based on your work, I really have to wonder if you wanted the shot to look like this. Even more so since you named the piece HARD ROCK maybe you were trying to go with an edgy/harsh piece. |

WATER BILLby dippydazComment by catholicskin: Great shot, the duck doesn't quite look right to me, maybe its the perspective, or maybe it is that blue where his beak is, the rest is crisp though, also there are some great colours in the breast of the bird! |
