Living Undergroundby RyShuComment by kari1: ::: Critique Club :::
Hi, my name is Kari and from the critique club.
First Impression - the most important one:
This is a pleasant cementary shot ... a solid entry in the stock photo.
Composition:
The leading lines as mentioned by the commentators are nice ... but that is all. Trying out diffrent depths of field ... and seeing how changing the aperture and ISO settings could be fun ...
Subject:
Meets the challenge but it just isn't enough for this shot people are looking for something different ... picking one headstone to focus on ... one of interest .. a little quirky perhaps ... using DOF to make things nice and blurred .. that sort of thing.
Technical (Colour and light):
A little washed out .. playing with contrast and reducing brightness helps with this.
To grow its vote?:
Find a focus ... pick on the unique ... I think people were expecting cemetaries .. but this just didn't tickle the fancy.
Summary:
Its a 'nice' image ... well done.
If you've got any questions about this critique, please feel free to contact me via the PM system.
Cheers

Aquatic Edutainmentby RyShuComment by photojennic: A little underexposed makes this shot a little too grainy. Cool composition though - love the color difference from water to stone and the curve of the glass is really artsy! Either a longer exposure or a smaller f-stop number would make this shot a winner! |

Aquatic Edutainmentby RyShuComment by GrayGhost: Nice composition, colors, DOF, poses. I like the juxtaposition of tank with beluga whale, screen, and people. Very interesting and nicely done. |
