i will be the dissenter here and say that i do not like the grain and I think the reason why is because of the clean white background. I love the composition, and the idea of the adult hand supporting the baby hand. (I wish I had done photos like these when my kids were babies). It is a lovely picture and should make a great keepsake.

Are you kidding???? I think everything about this photo works and is VERY interesting! And if it wasn't all intentional, it sure turned out great! I love the unique take on the black background and black and white photos of tiny hands or feet against big ones.
