itby PhilComment by noraneko: Definitely an instance where image grain adds to the photo. I also like the perspective you chose a lot. I think the photo might be cleaner without the stray bits of furniture leaning against the staircase - they look incidental, not deliberate. Still a most worthy effort. |

freedomby PhilComment by Louis: Nice, almost casually composed, but a strong composition for me nonetheless. I love the cut-off mantle at left, the off-kilter ground, the thing intruding into the dark triangle lower right. Disorienting and well put together. |

itby PhilComment by Louis: Knowing the circumstances behind these images helps, but I think you got your "Blair Witchy" feel... really well done. Also reminiscent, for me, of old fifties crime scene photos, those having an equal amount of creep. |

itby PhilComment by J-Me: Kinda fun to rumble around in something abandoned, isn't it? Ya never quite know what you'll find! *shudder*
I like the angle of the staircase here. |

in it's atticby PhilComment by J-Me: The idea of the dark background is interesting. It highlights the foreground objects well, but I'm not sure what it is that makes me want to see more "definition" in that background. Perhaps, it's just human curiosity. *smile* |

freedomby PhilComment by J-Me: Normally, I'm not a huge fan of noise/grain but, in this case, it kind of really adds to the shot because it has a very simplistic composition to it and an "old look" to begin with. I like the "off tone" to this B&W photo as well. That little bit of extra tinge just adds to it! |

itby PhilComment by bassbone: cool processing to really give this a worn and dark feel - nice job. I think I would be too scared to take a photo here.. ;-) |
