A Slow And Brief Journeyby NuzzerComment by sfalice: GREETINGS FROM THE CRITIQUE CLUB
Always fun to get an image from another member of the Critique Club to look at.
This is a good one and I'm pleased to have a second chance to look at it, this time more carefully than during the voting process, where it earned a 7 from me.
Okay, to work: the blurred background is excellent. You found exactly the right place to shoot this and your f4 aperture was perfect for this effect. While, if it was mine, I might have preferred to get the complete opalescent/iridescent shine on the bubble, we take what we can get. The pattern reflected in your example works very well as it is balanced nicely in the sphere.
With your nice finish, why you ought to be in the Critique Club! Wait a minute, you are!
:-))
Keep up the good work. |

For Soon The Cold Of Night Will Fall...by NuzzerComment by vlado: Love your work Nuzzer. This is one of my favourite images of the challenge... one of many excellent images... I've already voted and now commenting... only realised this was a Nuzzer thanks to saphire faving my entry, and me having a look at her previous fav's and seeing your Mystic River entry amongst them. Anyway... what is it I like... love the composition and the use of duotone... subtle but effective... and love that there's more detail in the reflection than at the top. |
