I like the composition. Would like to see what it looks like in color. The tone is not doing it for me personally. Color may have kept the hightlights from blowing out so much. Not sure. I do like the subject matter. :)

It is difficult to be in top 20, specially because the votes are for many things. The majority of reason why a pictures very well is that it is eye candy or appealing to almost everybody.
And the subjects those spread happiness are much more likely to be voted high.
This subject scares people, as people has commented.
It is very difficult to get high votes with out of box thingy and that too which scares people.

Portrait with eyes taken off is not something very pleasing hence a score of 5.34.
I personally estimated 5.5 for this, so it okey in the end.
I am happy that I have one more out of box entry in my portfolio. At least something creative I did.
