Nice, even exposure. This has a very static feel to it. The feeling of emptiness might have been enhanced if this was taken at dusk or dawn.

Personally, I don't take find comfort in religion but I didn't mark any of the religious subjects down for that, first because the theme was something that gives YOU comfort, and secondly because this is a photography site, not a theological one. I applaude you for going with something I'm sure you knew wouldn't score well with some.
