i finally decided to look at your portfolio. Love this image. :) i dont care about the splotches or how light her skin is. the pale or light color of skin is fantastic! i think that it adds a lot to the shot. i think that her lips and skin tone make a wonderful contrast. I like the empty space to the left. over all i think you should have gotten a ribbon, but i suppose getting 4th isnt too bad either.

Fantastic job over all! (maybe if another self portrait challenge comes up we can go head to head.)

This is an awesome portrait. So sharp, great detail and texture and does well in b/w. Of course it does not hurt to have a beautiful model. Congrats on 5th 4th place.
