Your idea of the stem plunging into the yellow "pool" has a nice creative edge. The colour is fine and I understand your choice of focus. Could I make a few suggestions? The idea of a plain background is wise. But perhaps a different colour to act as a contrast (e.g. black ). The flow of lines near the stem junction are visually attractive. What do you think of plucking out the stem and doing a near overhead close up shot ? So that it appears as a yellow spotted belly button of some strange beast ? To me those lines and spots on the apple skin appeal to me more than the harsh intruding stem which overpowers the other parts of the apple. Otherwise this is a good photo. Thank you for entering. This is an excelent photo. Not what I think of when I think of landscapes though. A "city landscape" would in fact be a 'cityscape'. But since I'm no landscape expert, I'm being pretty lienient. Great colors and focus and clarity are great, and the angle and framing/cropping are great too. It's an excelent photo. Very nicely executed. Great eye. Good luck in the challenge.

Yaggggh! Your photo is such a wonderful surprise, mixed in with all of the serene, lonely "nature" photos! This is so alive and vibrant, with the cars streaming by, and the Fridays that is HERE! I love that the entire frame is filled with this electric life!
