I feel that it would have helped this shot a lot to have moved or zoomed closer in on the contrasting leaves of the plant on the left. I feel that there is a good image in a square crop with the dead plant almost corner to corner.
The contrasting subject, the dead plant is not big enough in the thumb to make people want to open the image to see what it is.
The lighter reflection of a tree trunk in the center of the water draws my eyes away from the nice upward flow of the dead leaves.
I hope this didn't sound too harsh. It's just what I am seeing, and I'm no expert.

The bottom half of the photograph really appeals to me and I love the different techniques applied from streaks of color in the reflection to the Pointillism used on the lower right. I would have loved to see a tighter crop of the lower half. Good work.
