this is a stretch on the shadow idea for me. a little too dark and the background is messed up in placement and with reflections of some sort. To me it looks like the camel is in front of an airplane window...it doesn't make sense!! I must be blind. Maybe I'll like it more when you post your details. I'll be coming back to look at them.

I know there was this whole long discussion going on on shadow vs. sillhouette (I finally stopped following it). I think sillhouette does not qualify for shadow, and your photo falls into that category, unfortunately. Apart from that, I like the camel, the idea with the background is great, but overall, the shot is a little too dark (and that may be impossible to change w/out loosing the candle light shining through the patterns).

Nice silhouette with interesting color and a very nice background that is blurred just right. There is some weird reflection or something messing up the upper part of the background, otherwise this is very good.
