I like the idea of this. I think to really be "minimal" to me, there would be more negative space and perhaps you'd pan back so that the heart was smaller. Maybe only one fish too, but that's just me.

The flower seems a little too dark. With this being expert editing, I think I would of used a few more techniques (and I'm in no way a pro!!) Think this would of benefited more by whitening the eyes to get rid of the blood shot, fixed some of the imperfections of the skin and adjusted the skin tones. Not sure if I like the big catch light in the eyes.

I think this is a very good idea... not that this is a technically bad pic or anything but the lighting and the angle this pic could have been improved to a more studio like appearance making it a higher scorer.. Going with an all black background you could have chosen a single light source to make it more dramatic.. obviously this is my opionion and I have much to learn.. :) good luck!
