Don't mean to be harsh, just writing thoughts:
Looks like you've cropped in tight on this image to get closer to this majestic bird. Which is a good idea, but the artifacting in the water makes it seem like a low resolution image. Nice composition though.

While both photos are good, I prefer the original edit much better. The subject matter, and title, beg the viewer to consider what the building is/was used for. Was it a sniper tower? Or just another architectural casualty of war? Unfortunately, the idea behind the photo is too abstract for many challenge it was in. I say unfortunate, because this photo certainly did not deserve brown.

Grog has made warnings if Grog's comments not checked helpful. Grog is great keeper-of-patience, but even Grog has limit. Now all know to not ignore Grog. (BTW, Grog can offer insurance to protect in future.)

Very much improved, perhaps just a touch too blue, a bit more of the original color cast might have been nice...

ETA: sharpness seems improved too, but that might be more related to image size...

This one is definitely better, IMO. The original comes off a little flat with too much of a color cast. Would have still gotten creamed in the masks challenge however. Too much of a metaphor for such a light topic. This pic would probably respond nicely to a little bit of tonemapping as well.

Too much background.. grass, trees, sky and the clouds. Could have also chopped off the grass popping around the chair. The attention slips over from the chair to those grass.
