Swanby Serenity2512Comment by Jutilda: Lovely crop. I really like the detail of the water droplets. The red of the beak is lovely. |

Metallic Lunchby Serenity2512Comment by shaver: *** Critique Club ***
In this case you set this shot up very well. I believe that you would have placed higher if you had used more DOF with this shot since the handle of the fork is out of focus. Technically you did a great job with this entry. I believe that if a shot is set up like this one was the lighting should be perfect, you used an overhead light that was very bright causing a strong reflections from the fork and deep shadows.
Since lighting is a major part of a photo, I recommend that you consider using a soft box for this kind of entry in the future. A soft box will help eliminate the harsh reflections and add some depth to your entry.
All and all I believe that you did a good job with this entry and look forward to seeing more of your work. |

Metallic Lunchby Serenity2512Comment by jonr: Nice trick. Although I do think the lightning should have been even softer, the shadows are bit distracting. |

Deteriorationby Serenity2512Comment by taterbug: Very nice photo. Nice tones, great detail. I like the comp, with the vertical hill. These old barns and stuff just never lose their appeal to me no matter how many different times I see them. Each one just has their own character and a story to wonder about. Good job. |

Deteriorationby Serenity2512Comment by hdogg4u: Seems just a little too flat. Enhancing the colors of the roof and that of the grass would could have added some compostional element. Maybe a different angle of shooting would have created more impact. |
