The Gatheringby ecameronComment by mpreslar: The one woman's bright white shire really distracts as does the one blurred walking man while the rest of the people are not blurry. |

The Gatheringby ecameronComment by dwterry: I dunno... I feel like it needs a little stronger "main subject". It seems like the lamppost in the middle has become the main subject, with people on the right who are about to fall out of the frame, and people in the middle who are behind the lamppost and a blurry person to who all play "secondary subjects". I think if the lamppost weren't even there, that suddenly those other three would become stronger all on their own... |

The Gatheringby ecameronComment by digitalknight: I'm not sure what the subject is.
I think the photo would be stronger with more white in it - your lights are all the way white, but nothing else is so it leaves it kind of flat.
Hope that's helpful |

The Gatheringby ecameronComment by hotpasta: I like the choice of black and white and the movement in the people, but it's a messy image with no real point of focus...sorry |

Monarchby ecameronComment by JacquiD: I agree with Shutterpug there's too much below the butterfly - i keep looking at the leaf rather than the subject. Beautiful image though. |

Monarchby ecameronComment by ecameron: Normal Zoom was used for this shot. I didnt crop the bottom off cause i kinda liked the lines leading to the butterfly, I am going to crop and see what it looks like. Thanks for the Critiques |

Monarchby ecameronComment by kenskid: Nice color and DOF. I would crop bottom and take butterfly off center a little. |

Monarchby ecameronComment by cerebis: its a very beautiful shot, I'm not sure if you used the canon for this shot, but if you did, I'd nearly crop in closer, the resolution should be there to do it.
It looks pin sharp at web resolution, and getting something as active as a butterfly in focus in any way is an achievement. Were you shooting on a normal zoom for this or was it a macro lens? |

Monarchby ecameronComment by ShutterPug: Nice DOF. The detail on the butterfly is really nice, as are the colors. You may want to consider cropping a little tighter. There is a lot of negative space along the bottom border that draws my eye away from the butterfly. |
