Great idea. Picture is so sharp, that I have to say it's both gross and beautiful. Lighting is great and almost to the level of blown detail giving it a great light on white effect.

I think to really make this work would be to use the rule of thirds and have a large amount of negative space on one side of the tooth. Maybe have it laying on its side to create a shadow. The lighting seems a tad harsh to my eye.
