I'm giving you a 9 on this one. I love horses and this one is a beauty. I like the muscular detail you captured along with the pose and color, it is a stunning portrait of a magnificent animal. The border, to me, is overwhelming as are the people (?) in the upper right.

Pretty animal, although the angle distorts the 'elegance' of the animal a bit. Makes it look more cartoonish than natural. The desaturation of the background seems unnecassary too.

What a beautiful horse portrait!
A little more post-processing was kinda' needed to desaturate the rest along the horizon and a touch in the mane.
As a suggestion, and if you are using Photoshop, try new layer via copy, then add a warming filter (usually the default one that comes up), then while still in the layer, carefully use the eraser tool to erase back the horse. This will add a slightly warmer tone to the desaturated background.
