	Thorns of Despair by gerard Comment by Martus: I like the use of DOF in this shot and the title is used effectively to describe the challenge. The grainy background is also interesting. That said, I think the shot might have worked better with a stronger light source.

	Spongescape by gerard Comment by PTLParsons: Nice idea, the sponge. But it's fighting the background for the yellow spot. Need to change the color of the background. The sponge is in good focus, nicely cropped, well done. Next time don't make it fight for the attention.
