Under the Old Oak Treeby Studio18Comment by LalliSig: Very mystical, almost like a painting, I really like it but it´s just a tad to dark for my taste. Also, I think I would have liked this better if there was actually something underneath the tree as your title suggest, like a couple kissing or something like that but still one of the better shots in the challenge, got an 8 from me. |

Under the Old Oak Treeby Studio18Comment by Konador: Really nice B&W shot. Is it infrared? The framing from the tree and the excellent detail in the shot makes it really stand out amongst the crowd. Great photo. |

Under the Old Oak Treeby Studio18Comment by charliebaker: IMO there is too much darkness above to give this photo punch. More sunlight breaking through the old oak tree would have improved this photo a lot. Beautifully photographed background. |

....and we certainly would not want that; now, would we? Sheesh! It seems like someone using a camera for anything rather than literal representation is thought to be a witch on this site. This is a terrific example of creative photography on a thinking level, Eleanor. Your fresh insights and the growth I have seen you display over the past year, have been very rewarding. I know you won't be dissuaded as a result of not conforming to the "rules" on this site. (One of which is that in order for the shot to be successful, there should be something liquid caught splashing upward in the frame.) |
