Under the Old Oak Treeby Studio18Comment by Dr.Confuser: I am not normally a fan of B&W. (If God intended we shoot in B&W, He wouldn't have invented Kodachrome!) But in this case, the B&W was a superb choice. The framing of the scene with branches overhead and the dark foreground is magnificent. There is an interesting juxtaposition of emotion going on here ... the dark framing elements are ominous, but the lighter distant subject is peaceful, pastoral even. Makes for an interesting photo I would return to often, and look at longer. Focus and DOF are terrific. Museum quality. Among my top picks. |
