Comment by franyoung2002:
Great idea, but it seems to get lost. Maybe some other images or textiles in the shadows?

Comment by SaraR:
I like the idea and the composition, but find it a little too dark with too much lost detail.

Comment by Spizzer:
The image looks blurry to me. ALso, it could use just a tad more lighting to define it. Not necessarily brighter, but more definition.

Comment by Dr.Confuser:
Greetings from the Critique Club: I have been assigned your photo to critique and here are my thoughts:

Personal Reaction: I really didn’t resonate with your photo. Subject didn’t interest me and I don’t have much affinity for wildlife photos.

Composition: That being said, the composition is very good here. The negative (white) space is powerful. The motion blur brings my eye back around. Well conceived and presented.

Technicals: The colors are astonishingly good. I do like the small area of sharp focus which gives my eye a place to rest. Contrast is pleasing. And it is an excellent example of motion blur due to a long exposure.

Conclusions: You absolutely nailed the challenge, but I fear the subject didn’t hold voters’ attention long enough to appreciate the many positive aspects of the photo.

As always, this is my personal opinion. Feel free to PM me if you’d like further dialog.
