Could it be that you yourself have your head up your ass?
and last but not least could it be that some people are tired of people like you who prefer not to be anounymous like most of us when it comes to voting.... I mean you could just as well spray your name on the wall in the background on each photo you submit.....

And if your such a pro what the hell are you doing here?

So, according to you, people should vote with their feelings and not with a minimum of objectivity? Being tired of my shots, does that entitle them to vote the shots under 4 because they don't like the style?

My comment had nothing to do with ego.

Like it or not, it's my opinion and I will not stay silent when facing that amount of low scores from puritains.
I stand by my comment.

And what do you have against pros anyway? I didn't know this site was not accepting pros.

Great work Martin.

What I think would be a perfect shot does not matter at all and was never the issue in my comment, and I never said I didnt like this particular shot (I actually think its great).

Its the attitude of the photographer that I dont like.

This photo should never have had a 4, unless someone just did not like the subject matter. This is a great looking photo, half naked woman or not.

This is a perfect shot, and it's too bad some people vote on taste instead of photographic merit. You are an AMAZING professional photographer, and you are a true lighting master. This shot is absolutely stunning, I'm proud to say I voted this a 10, and would have given it a 12 if I could. Keep up the great work, You are a true pro!

Once again a masterful and very sensual shot Martin. Du très beau travail. Bianca et toi formez une équipe du tonnerre. Excellent lighting and love the tones in her hair.

I didn't get to vote on this image, but the first thing that came to mind was "squeaky clean". LOL!

Keep wowing us.

You're right, I was too harsh: I should have offered them a map too.

Lori, you shouldn't take my comment personally; you didn't vote. Had you voted a 4 and under, I'd tell you the same thing I told them. But that is not the case. You used your judgement and decided that your personal taste would compromise your ability to properly rate this image. I call that being very professional and respectful.

I thought my choice of words to those ignorant fools was quite polite actually, considering the 31 votes of 4s and under (almost 10% of the people who voted on this image!). 4 and under: meaning, UNDER average. Don't get me wrong: I don't mind not being in the top 3 and I think there were terrific images in this challenge. So my comment has nothing to do with my position in the challenge.

It's just that I pity those lost souls and I thought they'd benefit from some sympathy. Offering them a solution on how to stick their heads out of their own ass hole was, I thought, a nice gesture. After all, who in their right mind would like to be in that position? Some guidance was in order! A flash light and batteries was the first thing I thought of... Digging their way out was out of the question; way too messy and they could hurt themselves.

My two cents.

To all who gave this shot a rating bellow average (4 and under), I invite you to purchase a flash light and a set of batteries in order to find your way out of the deep ass hole you are currently lost in. Thank you.

Woah..come on now, that's harsh. Nobody here said anything nasty about you if they didn't like your work. Without sounding too after-school-special, not everyone has to love your genre and you don't have to love theirs. Because it isn't my taste I would just not vote on it. Should *I* being digging up some batteries?

Thanks,
Lori

P.S. I'd skip voting on it because my personal views shouldn't effect the scores of your technically-great work.

No, you did the mature thing and passed because you didn't care for the
subject.

I find it funny that some people are so closed minded that they can't vote fairly on an image because it shows a little skin. This was an exremely tasteful shot, that was executed perfectly.

This challenge was wayyy cool. Very nice photography! We should do this more often.

Ericlimon: you can get that maid outfit for your g/f (or for yourself if you wish, lol!) at //www.innersanctum.uk.com .
