MJO15255.jpgby MattOComment by scooter97: This is a very good shot Matt. Look at the skin on the throwing arm as it is whipped forward. Must have been upwards of 1/2500th sec. |

This particular gym is at the local Junior College. There is a balcony around the top of this that is used as an indoor running track and also has access to the weight room and gymnastics room. The railing at the top is where I mount my two speed lights or strobes depending on what I am using that night. The third used for fill is mounted at the end of the gym I am shooting at. there is a set of roll out bleachers at each end, with a lower white ceiling. I mount that flash so that it bounces off the ceiling and acts as fill light for my two side lights. I do have caution tape that I can place around the area where they are mounted, however access to the upper end is limited by the SID of the college, and the end bleachers are rarely out and when they are i just mount that flash in an area and tape it off so no one messes with it. |
