The Uber Geekby rinacComment by talj: Well, certainly fits the challenge in my eyes! Great use of DOF here and I am impressed at how well you have controlled your exposure in this shot as there are a lot of different shades of whites (if that makes sense!). |

SPLATby rinacComment by alanbataar: EXCELLENT title! Very graphic, dynamic composition. Meets the challenge, but doesn't rise to the challenge in the sense of using light*ing* as a creative element. This hillariously uses *a* light as a creative element, if you get my distinction. |

The Uber Geekby rinacComment by karmat: I love this. How much more "faceless" can you get than feet. (Just as a side note -- I appreciate that his socks are hole-less and clean).
I love the composition of this. The feet immediately attract attention, but then the eye is drawn up into the frame to see what he is reading. I like the shadows as well.
The only suggestion I might give, and I'm not sure it would make it stronger is to have him sitting at an angle/diagonal going through the frame, instead of centered. Like I said, I don't know if that would really make it stronger, because I like how it is centered. (How is that for wishy-washy?)
Great work. |

The Uber Geekby rinacComment by msdoubletrouble: Interesting take. I thought this might be yours when browsing the thumbnails. crisp and white on lower left then sepia less crisp upper right. I musta stared at this 10 minutes trying to decide; near or far in focus. I like the DOF you chose because I think it helps the 'laid back' feel. I know you do darn good laundry, or those new pair?lol j/k (had to comment on that after reading comments during challenge). Nice job, just some really nice shots in this challenge. |

Barrenby rinacComment by aimeethetoo: This is definetly a contrasty image - it's just that the subject matter doesn't jump out and grab my interest as a viewer...but whacha gonna do? Can't please everyone all the time! ; ) Message edited by author 2006-10-13 19:52:52. |
