Dormantby rinacComment by jdannels: I think its pretty cool the way it is :). One tip that might help in these expert editing challenges is to take two shots, one focused on the rocks, and another focused the horizon. Since the exposure is so long you could easily find somewhere in the water to match the exposures since all the water is smooth, this would have gicen you super depth of field. Just a suggestion. I like all the color.

Dormantby rinacComment by LalliSig: Pretty good, if it had better image quality this shot would "rock" (pun intended), wish it was more crispy and sharp. Gave a 6. |

besides that, a nice reflection on the fork would have enhanced the image much |

Hi
Gave you a 1; I guess I owe you an explanation why. To start with, all the elements in your photo have the same strength or power, and in the case of this submission are not so powerful, in fact the title "dormant" serves the picture well. There is nothing to anticipate and nothing to not anticipate; if it was a dormant thing amongst other lively things I would have seen it differently.
As for the technical, you have processed it too heavily; the distant clouds are unreal blue, the mountain mass at the horizon, being black, broke the continuity between the sea and sky as if it was ripped out from the photo being with no color. And if I do not see a definite light source(s) I usually vote very low. The light may be ambient, like your photo, but I need to see how it interacts with distances. |

Dormantby rinacComment by AFViper: Great depth, really like the use of wide angle to show the foreground. Increasing brightness, and contrast on everything but the sky, and mountain should help this photo. |
