you've never been depressed enough to not care what you look like? Gone for days without shaving? Haven't given a damn? What if she had been so distraught that the fact her top had fallen open hadn't registered?
Trust me... I know depression. |
Neolestat, I know exactly where you are coming from with your description of depression. This is a slightly odd situation, and could suggest several different things. I personally think it's a lovely image, no matter what the name. Technically it's quite fine, and she obviousely a lovely model, and poses for you quite well.
It's funny to me that fotomann_forever would be making the statement he made, considering some of the images he's posted. Don't get me wrong, he's got some very fine work here, especially lately. I don't think there is any reason at all you need to defend your image. It's wonderful. |

Voyeuristic Mourningby neolestatComment by neolestat: Originally posted by ignite: Nice shot, but gets confusing as there is no clear point of focus. Some parts are blurred for no reason; either keep it sharp or blur the whole image for a soft-focus look. |
I'm never one for rules... who says whats to focus and what isn't? what you see here is deliberate, not some mistake in focus. The lens I use has an incredibly shallow dof. There is a plane to the front of the model, mid thigh where evrything is in focus, her breasts and behind that plane are deliberately out of focus since they are not the main focus of the image. the fact that she's topless is secondary in my mind. If you want in focus boobs that wasn't my aim... :) |

Sentimental Graveyardby neolestatComment by jdannels: wow that 85mm 1.2L is killer! I'm sure you got something to do with it too :). This is my fav of all your current uploads. It really seems like there is a story that can be filled in so many ways depending on the viewer of the image. Great work here. |

Charlotte at Riber Castleby neolestatComment by fotomann_forever: Very well done on this one. Ny favorite so far. What I like about it, is that it is a simple image that doesn't try to force a message on me.
When I look at it, I'm looking at the image, not trying to decipher some cryptic message. |
