Excellent choice of subject. Very creative indeed. The little girl adds interest for the 'background' as well. Lighting, composition and the slight dof is wonderful. Just a tad blown out on her left cheek, otherwise a beautiful image. I really like how you have use b&w for this image. GL :) 8

A friend mine felt he thought this was not a terribly original shot. Perhaps it would be good for the cliche challenge, but I really love it. This is really good job of capturing the emotion of the moment. Great looking kid!.

I knew the fence theme would come up in the square competition, and this one is executed quite well. It is an effective portraiture: The subject seems to have an expression befitting someone who seems caged. My only gripe is that the contrast could have been improved with your image editor. A look at the histogram of the photo would show this. Would have also been nice if both her eyes were sharp.
