This is a strange looking photo. By strange I mean the grass and "tumble weed". Has the weirdest texture. I do hope this place is unihabited. I guess weird is funny. Great photo. I really like the shot. Good techs. Don't know that they'll give you funny, except for the title. But the photo is good.

The stream really adds a lot to this shot, for at once you can tell the stream was much bigger but now just a trickle. I like how the stream takes your attention towards the backdrop of the shot. 7.

Composition (content)

Very good idea. At first sight I wondered how big the glass must be and how much beer it must have contained, but fortunately it is only a 50ml bottle. :)

The way the colors work here are great. From yellow to orange (beer), to orange-red (whiskey with a beer filter) to a similar yellow as the background on the letters of the JD bottle. Good choice of background, it balances out well and it doesn't ruin the color of the beer.

I think the handle would have done a better job in the compostion if it was at an angle so that you can look trough it. Doesn't have to be at 90 degrees of course, preferably less.

I would never ever have thought of the condensation on the glass that is missing, without your comment about the warm beer. Good thinking and I'll keep it in mind as well.

The position of the bottle in the glass is excellent, not head on, but slightly turned to the left. The pattern in the foot of the mug works well with it. The bubbles on the bottle and at the bottom have a very cool effect.

There is a bit of reflection on the glass. Could perhaps be taken away with a totally dark background behind the photographers back.

Background
As said, good choice, works well. The balance between the right and left is a bit off. Perhaps a reflector or less strong light from the right side could fill that (shadow) in. More important when you turn the handle more towards us, it will create a harder shadow.

Camera Work (Technical)
Good depth of focus, good focus, sharpness ok, exposure is excellent. Colours look very good.

Digital Processing (technical)
I don't think that the lower letters have sharpening artifacts, it is more bubbles that pass that part of the bottle. No futher comments.

My opinion
Very good, creative and well executed.

challenge met. i like how the "river" curves through the photo, the trees behind it almost draw a line and all this meets up at the big green tree where the river is no longer visible. makes it very easy on the eye to wander around the shot and then find a place to rest. i think you also did well eliminating much of the sky since it's pretty bland. good job :)

Those aren't the type of tumble weeds we have here. The picture looks like it was cloned on the wall of weeds. Probably not but has the same effect. Was there a way to move to eliminate the post? Even a realtor would have worked around that. Low humor though for me. 5

Nice photo, but I think you should have captured some more sky (or maybe no sky at all). As it is now, the small amount of sky looks kinda pressed up in the top part which results in a somewhat disturbed balance of the photo.

(1) COMPOSITION (CONTENT) Well composed. The strong use of rule of thirds makes a very powerful composition. The scene is also very interesting, making this a photograph that keeps the attention of the viewer for a long period of time. The details in the old wood, and in the clouds makes me want to keep coming back to see what I have missed. The longer one looks at it, the more interesting details come to light.

(2) BACKGROUND I guess in this case the background would be the heavy threatening sky. Just enough detail to add to the photo without overwhelming it.

(3) CAMERA WORK ,TECHNICAL Exposure is good. Composition is very strong. The focus is very sharp. Overall, excellent camera work.

(4) DIGITAL PROCESSING ,TECHNICAL In my opinion, this could have been cropped a little tighter to allow a better view of the interesting weathered wood. With all of the interesting textures, I wonder how this would look in Black and White.

(5)MEETING THE CHALLENGE This photo does a very good job of meeting the challenge. I can not imagine any house that I have ever seen that would match this song title quite so well.

(6) MY OPINION ON THE PHOTO A very good photograph. I would love to have this hanging in my family room so I could continue to go back and look again. Everytime I look, I see something new that I had missed before. Nicely done!

holy cow! does someone live there? very strange. I think this is pretty darn funny. The angle and framing/cropping are just fine. focus and clarity are good. The sky is a blown out white though, and that's not a serious problem, but just an observation. Mine always turn out that way too. *shrug* nice shot. good luck in the challenge.

interesting botanical phenomenon, but, lets face it, not frankly hillarious.
