challenge -- met
technical -- i like the light reflecting from the crystal, but it is a little too blown out on the crystal itself. don't think you can have one without the other unfortunately. also pretty cool that the mesh in the background can be seen through the bottom of the crystal.
composition -- the black corner on top is distracting, a closer crop would've removed that. would it have been able to photograph this head on so that the mesh lines were straight? it may not have worked with the reflection, but if it had, i personally would've preferred that.

The black in the upper left is a distraction and a bit less light on the subject would be nice. I think the picture is pretty clear though - nice focus.
